Senegal Football Federation (FSF) chair, Mbaye Ndoye, has blamed Cameroonian referee Divine Evehe for Senegal's 1-2 loss to Egypt in the semi-finals match of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) played in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday.
"The referee failed to blow his whistle for a clear penalty on Diomansy Kamara, which would have changed everything," Ndoye said after the match in Cairo.
The Senegalese striker was tripped within the penalty area by defender Ibrahim Saïd two minutes before the end of the match while the Egyptians were leading 2-1.
"We are not going to lodge a complaint to the African Football Confederation. It's pointless," the FSF chairman added.
On Friday Egypt will play Côte d'Ivoire in the CAN 2006 final while Thursday will see Senegal facing Nigeria in a game for third place.
