Ivorian striker Aruna Dindane, who has not been able to take part in the first round matches of the African Cup of Nations due to his daughter's death, is expected to rejoin the Elephants when they clash with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Cairo, Egypt, on Saturday.
Dindane, in addition to attending his daughter's funeral in France, has also been nursing an injury.
The striker, on arrival, told the press that he was in good health and was ready to play during the rest of the competition, which continues with quarter-finals matches on Friday.
He added that his coach, Frenchman Henri Michel, could count on him for the rest of the contest.
He then congratulated his team-mates for taking the team to the quarter-finals.
"I would like to thank and congratulate all my team-mates who spared no effort to reach the quarter-finals. I have come to play and the coach can rely on me. I am also waiting for the final decision of the doctor," he told PANA Thursday.
