Alexandria, Egypt (PANA) - Tunisian coach Roger Lemerre Wednesday warned his side against complacency in Thursday's African Cup of Nations Group C match against South Africa in Alexandria, Egyot.
The Carthage Eagles overwhelmed Zambia's Chipolopolo 4-1 on Saturday and intend to make the Bafana Bafana their next victim in the second match for both sides.
South Africa, who lost to Guinea 2-0 in the last part of the second half, would want to redeem their form when they meet the Eagles.
The match will be "very tough and we are expecting a tough opposition from the South Africans," Lemerre told a press briefing.
"The opposition Cote d'Ivoire faced from Libya, a relatively weaker side, should serve us an example of the difficulties we might encounter before securing our second victory," the Frenchman added.
Lemerre said the Bafana Bafana was a good side despite the poor defence they displayed against Syli National in their first game.
"Despite some difficulties in their defence, they are a good team and some of their players, mainly strikers (Sebusiso) Zuma and (Benny)
McCarthy, are very good players of which we should pay a lot of attention," he added.
