Cairo, Egypt (PANA) - After losing their opening game 0-1 to Cote d'Ivoire, Moroccan players have vowed to defeat hosts Egypt in their next group match Tuesday at CAN 2006.
"We will defeat Egypt in order to make up for our loss to Côte d'Ivoire. We are sure about that. If we win against them (Egypt), our chances will be restored," Moroccan defender Noureddine Kacemi predicted.
Also speaking in the same vein, striker Hichem Abouchérouane said: "We dominated throughout the game against the Ivorians, and Didier Drogba only scored through a penalty in the 39th minute."
Morocco will play Egypt, while Libya will battle Côte d'Ivoire in their next group matches.
