Alexandria, Egypt (PANA) - Tunisia's coach, Roger Lemerre has refused to make public names of players in his squad for Sunday's match against Zambia in their African Cup of Nations Group C match in Alexandria.
Frenchman Lemerre, however, disclosed his formation for the game and hinted to the identity of his two front-men.
"We'll use our usual 4-4-2 formation, especially that we have very efficient strikers like Zied Jaziri and Francileudo dos Santos," Lemerre told a press conference on Saturday.
Lemerre stated that his knowledge of his Zambian opponents is limited to videotapes of games he watched for the team.
When asked about the reason for excluding veteran Khaled Badra from the African Cup squad, Lemerre said that the Esperance defender's style of play did not suit the Tunisian team.
But a reliable source told PANA that Lemerre's starting eleven will comprise Ali Boumnijel, Hatem Trabelsi, Jose Clayton, Karim Haggui, Radhi Jaidi, Riadh Bouazizi, Adel Chedli, Kais Ghodhbane, Jaohar Mnari, Zied Jaziri and Francileudo dos Santos.
Hamed Namouchi, Haikel Guemamdia, Issam Jomaa have also been tipped to take part in the game.
The "Carthage Eagles" were refused permission by FIFA to include St Etienne's Alaeddine Yahia in their squad to replace the
injured Karim Saidi.
It's then Amir Hai Messaoud of club Sfaxien (Tunisia) who was finally called. The defender arrived in Alexandria on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Zambia's coach Kalusha Bwalya looked confident when he addressed journalists here Saturday.
"We are going to be tough to beat and are not going to just give them three points even though they are the defending champions," said Zambian football legend, Kalusha Bwalya.
"It's a bonus for us to have Andrew Sinkala and Elijah Tana in the squad because of their good Nations Cup experience. "It will also be up to them to guide the youngsters."
