Rabat, Morocco (PANA) - Morocco beat the DR Congo 3-0 in a friendly match played in Rabat Monday evening as part of the two teams' preparations for the 2006 African Cup of Nations scheduled for Egypt from 20 January to 10 February. Half time 1-0.
Marouane Chamakh (32th), Hicham Aboucharouane (52th) and Mohamed Armoumene (67th) scored for the Atlas Lions, who face their Zimbabwean and Angola counterparts in Marrakech (250 km in the North of Rabat), respectively, on 14 and 17 January.
Morocco is in Group A of the CAN alongside hosts Egypt, Cote d'Ivoire and Libya.
Zimbabwe is in Group D with Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal, while Angola, which also qualified for the 2006 World Cup in Germany, is in Group B with Cameroon, Togo and DR Congo.
