Elated by his team's 2-0 victory over Benin in their last group B game at Ghana 2008 Tuesday, Nigeria's assistant coach Austin Eguavoen is talking tough against the Eagles' next opponent, perennial rivals Black Stars of Ghana.
Speaking after the Nigeria-Benin match in Sekondi on Tuesday, Eguavoen said the Black Stars would fall to the Nigerians.
"We know the capability of the Ghana team and they will be the one that will be under pressure to beat us,'' he told journalists.
Playing on the name of the Ghanaian team, the Black Stars, the coach added, "The Eagles are waiting to fly beyond the glittering stars en route the semi-final berth.''
Nigeria and Ghana will relive their age-long soccer rivalry when they clash in the quarter-finals in Accra on Sunday.
