Africa's soccer governing body, CAF, has released the top three lists of candidates for the various categories in the Globacom/CAF Awards, due to be held 1 February in Togo.
The listed was posted to the official website of the football body Saturday, following an earlier release of the names of the three players shortlisted for the 2008 African Footballer of the Year Award.
They are Ghana midfielder Michael Essien; Ivorian striker Didier Drogba, who is the reigning African Footballer of the Year, and Frederic Kanoute of Mali.
