Ghana forward Junior Agogo says he's turning a deaf ear to reports that his exploits at the African Nations Cup have attracted the attention of English Premiership scouts.
The Nottingham Forest striker has caught the eye here, his 40th minute goal earning Ghana a 1-0 win over Namibia on Thursday to leave the Black Stars' odds-on to make the quarter-finals.
Agogo though says his attention is focused on helping his country rather than any future change of employment back in England.
"I'm not thinking about scouts or anything like that at the moment. I want to score goals here so my country can win," the 28-year-old Accra-born attacker said on Friday.
Agogo is widely travelled, joining English League One side Forest in 2006 after spells with a host of clubs including Sheffield Wednesday, QPR, Bristol Rovers and Chester, and he's also played in the United States for Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire and Colorado Rapids.
He made his debut for Ghana in May 2006, missed out on a call up for the World Cup, but returned to international duty with Thursday's goal his first for the Black Stars in a competitive match.
