Guinea on Thursday paid one million euros to be granted the right to broadcast the African Cup of Nations soccer tournament live from Ghana between 20 January to 10 February sources told APA.
Guinea’s Minister of Information and Telecommunication paid the amount into the accounts of CSF Limited, the company entitled to broadcast the various matches of the soccer competition.
About 800 million Guinean Francs (80 million FCFA) have already been mobilized as part of the "war effort" in collaboration with other ministerial departments.
A total of 60 billion Guinean francs, about 6 billion CFA francs were disbursed to ensure the participation of the country’s Syli national soccer team at the continental extravaganza.
