Tunisia's football federation were fined 1,000 dollars (790 euros) on Sunday after their team's supporters roundly booed the Senegal national anthem before the start of Saturday's African Nations Cup quarter-final here.
"The fine is for the public's anti-sporting behaviour in whistling the Senegal national anthem," said a spokesman for the tournament.
Tunisia won the match 1-0 to set up a semi-final clash against either defending champions Cameroon or Nigeria but it was a bad-tempered affair with Jawhar Mnari's winning goal coming in controversial circumstances.
Senegal believe the move that led to the 65th minute goal should have been halted by the referee because of a foul on El Hadji Diouf.
The match was held up for five minutes as Senegalese officials invaded the pitch to protest the decision.
Organisers said Sunday they will study TV footage of the incident to decide whether or not to take action.
"A decision will be taken by the disciplinary commission after they have studied the pictures but, as yet, no date has been fixed for a meeting," added the spokesman.
