Nigeria star striker Julius Aghahowa is to face a late fitness test on his injured thigh ahead of Sunday's African Nations Cup quarter-final clash against Cameroon.
"He suffered a thigh injury against Benin and has been receiving treatment since then. I'm still waiting for the doctor's final report on the player's fitness," said Nigeria coach Christian Chukwu.
On Saturday, Aghahowa didn't train for the second day running as the Super Eagles rounded up their preparations for the Cameroon showdown.
The 21-year-old Aghahowa, who features for Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, was joint top scorer at the last Nations Cup in Mali with three goals.
He also netted three goals at the 2000 edition of the championship jointly hosted by Ghana and Nigeria.
