Former team-mates Frederic Kanoute and Titi Camara put their goal-scoring reputations on the line here on Saturday as Mali and Guinea clash in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup.
Both men, former team-mates at English side West Ham, have been instrumental in getting their countries through to the knockout stages with three goals each, but come Saturday night one of them will be on their way home.
Either Kanoute will be packing his bags to head back to Tottenham or it will be Camara returning to the anonymity of the Qatar league.
Mali coach Henri Stambouli believes Kanoute, who switched allegiance from France to play here, could lead the country into a golden age starting on Saturday.
"Mali was not a second choice for Kanoute," said the coach.
"We have always had very capable, good players who could create lots of chances. But we were missing the players who could put the ball in the back of the net. With Kanoute, we have that player."
Kanoute's form at West Ham led to a 3.5-million-pound (6.3-million-dollar) move to Tottenham last year while Camara never settled at Upton Park, making just 14 appearances in three seasons and failing to score.
Camara's parting with the London club was so bitter that last year he started legal action for breach of contract.
But Guinea coach Michel Dussuyer believes that the 31-year-old Camara has answered his critics here.
"He is very happy with Guinea and we are happy to have him. He is still ambitious for the team and for himself and I am certain that today he is very happy indeed," said the Frenchman who added that he will not be devising a particular plan to halt the Kanoute express.
"There won't be an individual plan to stop Kanoute playing. There may be some adjustments but it won't be a question of us keeping a close eye on one opponent," said Dussuyer whose team are at the knockout stage of the tournament for the first time in 28 years.
"We have achieved our objective of making the quarter-finals. This hasn't happened to Guinea for 28 years, so it is very satisfying.
"In Saturday's match, it will be a question of having the right mentality and playing to our strengths."
