The Egyptian football team snatched Saturday a 3-0 victory in a warm-up match against Namibia for the 2008 African Cup of Nations (ACN), the official MENA news agency reported.
During the match held in the southern Egyptian city of Aswan, Amr Zaki snatched the first goal in the 53th minute and netted again in the 89th.
The Egyptian team finished the friendly at 3-0 after Ahmed Hassan hit the third in the 77th minute.
According to an earlier report, Egypt will hold another two friendly matches with Mali on Jan. 10 and Angola on Jan. 13 for the preparation of the upcoming ACN finals later this month in Ghana.
Egypt, who hold the record of winning the ACN titles for five times, was drawn into a relatively easy group, sitting in Group C along with Cameroon, Sudan and Zambia.
Egypt has named a preliminary 32-player list of the Egyptian squad for the ACN finals and the final roster is expected to be announced after the friendly with Namibia.
