Cote d'Ivoire's football coach, Henri Michel, whose team is facing hosts Egypt in the 25th African Cup of Nations (CAN) final on Friday, has said that he did not harbour any fears of poor officiating during the match, one of the main complaints expressed by Nigerian and Senegalese coaches during the semi-finals of the competition.
"We are not afraid of the officiating of this final. We are going to play the best football in order to win the cup on Friday," Michel said, adding that he did not fear the Egyptian squad either, "with or without Mido."
"We know that Mido has had poor relations with his team's staff but it's none of our business. We will play against Egypt and we don't care about the make-up of the team," Michel noted Thursday.
