A 45-man Carthage Eagles of Tunisia contingent Thursday afternoon stormed the Helnan Hotel here beaming with smiles in apparent readiness for the crunch quarterfinal match against Nigeria at the Port Said Stadium Saturday.
The Tunisian delegation was expected since Wednesday, but it had to remain in Alexandria to allow the Ghanaian and Zimbabwean teams to vacate the hotel after being booted out of the competition.
On arrival, the officials refuse to speak with the media, claiming that they were still new and would want to study the terrain before making any comments.
They were scheduled to have a feel of the Port Said stadium turf later Thursday ahead of cracker with Nigeria, which brings back memories of their semi-final clash in the 2004 edition in Tunisia.
